CCPD Services and COVID-19 - Updated 9/3/2021

Starting this Fall 2021 we will be opening our brand new Career Studio! This space will be available to students and alumni to come and work on application materials, get answers to career related questions, and receive professional guidance on all career topics. No need for an appointment. Walk-ins welcome every Monday - Friday from 12pm - 4pm.

The CCPD is offering virtual and in-person career counseling services to students and alumni. All appointments can be scheduled through myWCU, Advising/Tutoring Quicklinks and the "Get Assistance" blue button or by contacting our office at 828.227.7133 or If you select a virtual appointment you will receive an email with a link to your zoom appointment or phone call in number. At the start of your appointment time, simply click the link or call in. For in-person appointments please visit us in the Reid Building Room 150.

Depending on the subject, appointments are 30-60 minutes long with a trained career professional. Traditionally, these appointments can be in-person, over the phone, or virtually through Zoom software. Our office is located in Reid 150. Our entrance faces the metered parking lot, Lot #30, beside the Cat-Tran Hub / Paid parking lot.

Career Studio

The Center for Career and Professional Development has created a space for students and alumni to drop-in and work on their application materials, obtain answers to your career questions, and receive feedback from trained professionals. Come visit us Monday - Friday 12:00pm - 4:00pm in Reid 150. The Career Studio can be used for:

  • Interviewing Tips
  • Job/internship Search Strategies
  • LinkedIn Advice and Creation
  • Personal Statement and Graduate School Application
  • Guided Major and Career Research

How to Find Us

The Center for Career and Professional Development is located in Reid 150. Our entrance faces the small, metered Lot 30 beside the residence hall construction. Be sure to use our entrance instead of cutting through the Reid building. You will be greeted upon entering our office and can check in for your appointment or be guided to the Career Studio.
