NC TEACH - Applying to the Program

Through Western's NC TEACH program you may earn a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) or follow a graduate level licensure only plan. View eligibility requirements and program check lists for each NC TEACH licensure area. Check out tuition for information about the costs of the program and financial aid opportunities.

Application deadlines:

May 1, 2008 for Summer Semester 2008

July 1, 2008 for Fall Semester 2008

November 1, 2008 for Spring Semester 2009

Complete the NC TEACH application process as early as possible. Given the current volume of applications, course availability may be limited if you apply after the posted deadline. We make every effort to enroll qualified applicants, especially lateral entry teachers, even if the deadline has passed.

Transcript Review:

For a transcript review, complete the Eligibility/Pre-Evaluation Form online and submit one official copy of transcripts. A program advisor will develop a plan of study that will satisfy licensure/MAT requirements. The checklist will be mailed to you.
