The 2007 summer institute will be held at Pisgah High School in Canton, NC. Courses are led by WCU faculty and public school master teachers. The benefits to lateral entry teachers include opportunities to:
- Explore classrooms and view classroom arrangements
- Become familiar with NC state adopted textbooks
- Work with practicing classroom teachers
- Meet principals and learn more about course scheduling and administrative expectations
