SM 484 grade based on the paperwork, presentation, and final paper.
SM 485 grade is based on your supervisor’s evaluations.
Summer 2006
- 29 Apr 06 Contract must be filled in by agency supervisor
and signed by all parties
- 16 May 06 Start internship
- 01 Jun 06
- Turn in the following information to your faculty memeber
- Your address, phone number, fax number, and email address (both for work & home)
- Supervisors work address and phone number (Complete city, state, and zip) or business card, andemail address
- Game schedule(s): If applicable
- Liability insurance: If applicable
- Typical work schedule
- Directions to your work site from Cullowhee (Very important!!!)
- 01 Jun 06 Turn in first set of logs.
- 22 Jun 06 Turn in second set of logs.
- 24 Jun 06 Midterm Evaluations due. (Mailed to supervisor two weeks in advance)
- 13 Jul 06 Turn in third set of logs.
- 27 Jul 06 Turn in fourth set of logs.
- 27 Jul 06 Final internship paper due.
- 29 Jul 06
- Interns evaluation of supervisor and internship organization due.
- Final Evaluations due. (Mailed to supervisor two weeks in advance)
- 03 Aug 06 Internship Presentations.
- Spend Entire Day (8:00 - ?) ON CAMPUS. Do not ask to be excused and do not expect to leave early. Penalty (1/2 grade) for missing any part!! This includes the luncheon following presentations.
- You will meet in Reid 122H for all presentations. You should plan this professional presentation well in advance. Arrive the day before if at all possible. Be responsible for knowing what technology is available to you. You must use slides, video, or develop a PowerPoint presentation. Apply everything learned in your speech classes and in SM 495 about giving timed presentations. Practice your presentation in advance. Your presentation should be between 15-20 minutes. You may use note cards only. Do not read. Talk to your audience. Make your presentation interesting, exciting, creative and informative. Incorporate your audio and visual support while you are presenting. Professional dress required.
- 04 Aug 06 Graduation. 7.00p at the Ramsey Center. You
will have practice earlier in the day. Line-up begins around 1.00p.
