Welcome
to the College of Education and Allied Professions Instructional
Technology homepage. Our mission is to provide timely and
complete information regarding all aspects of technology preparation
and support of CEAP students/candidates, faculty and staff.
The
College of Education and Allied Professions is actively involved
with promoting technological competence, awareness and skill-building
throughout our educational programs, emphasizing the benefits
that technology can bring to classrooms by promoting active,
participatory learning. Our philosophy of using technology
effectively, efficiently and wisely permeates all levels of
integration and is also reflected in our college's conceptual
framework and strategic plan for instructional technology.
We are excited in implementing a new set of national technology
standards for our teacher education candidates applying for
initial North Carolina state teaching licensure. These standards,
titled
NETS-T (National Educational Technology
Standards for Teachers), serve as the foundation for the candidate's
technology portfolio and encompass a broad set of competencies
directly applicable to the support of teaching and learning.
We
invite you to visit our informational pages and learn more
about our programs and encourage you in the use of our instructional
technology resources. Thank you again for visiting
our instructional technology web site.
