Sign in to TaskStream's website and you will see a page like this
Look for "3. Teacher Edu. Program Completion - Spring 2008". If you do not see this title on the screen, contact Dr. Lee Nickles (see below). [NOTE: The images are for an older portfolio, but the directions are the same] Click on the "Work on DRF" link on the right side of this row. If you see this screen

Then click on Tab #3, Edit Content. You will see this screen:

Start by clicking on the "Description of Context" item under the Teacher Work Sample header. You will see some directions for this item - please read these carefully for each item in the Teacher Work Sample.

To enter information on the context of your internship, click the grey "Add/Edit Work" button on the right side of the screen (above the directions).

The window seen below will pop-up. Click on the Form tab in this window. (The directions are repeated here if you need them.)

Fill in the blanks on this form. Some may not apply to you (e.g., not everyone has an "academic supervisor"; you may not have access to some of the demographic information we request on the students - you can leave the entries blank if needed)

When done, click the "Save and Close Window" button at the bottom. If you need to stop and come back, click the "Save and Close Window" button and return later.

For the other items in the Teacher Work Sample, you will attach various files. We'll look at the Daily Lesson Plans as an example. Click the Daily Lesson Plans item under the Teacher Work Sample header.
[NOTE: The Unit Builder and Lesson Builder in the far left column of the screen are NOT where you will submit those items. You must follow the directions here to submit your work. However, you can use those tools in TaskStream to create some of your work for the Teacher Work Sample. ]

If you do not see the directions, click on the yellow triangle by the header "Directions for Daily Lesson Plans" to show them.

If you would like to view the rubric that will be used to score your work, scroll down in the directions to the bottom where you can find a link to the rubric for that item.
Click the link for the rubric and a new window will open, showing you the rubric.

When you are ready to attach your work, click the grey "Add/Edit Work" button on the right side of the screen.

A new window will open. You will usually only be concerned with the "Attachments" tab, but if you have files that fall under the other categories (e.g., Video) you can submit them through those tabs (this is unusual).

Click the Attachments tab. You have three types of things you can attach for this item (Daily Lesson Plans). First, you can upload new files you've created. If you want to upload these, make sure "New File" is selected in the grey bar under the tabs.

Click the Browse button to look for a file. You do not need to fill in the boxes for 1. and 3. - just locate the file with the Browse button. When you have selected a file, click the yellow "Add File" button.

Your file will be sent to TaskStream. If it is successful, you will see a screen like the one below showing your file at the bottom. You can upload as many files as you wish, up to the space limitation on your account (100 MB).

A second way to attach your work is to attach previously uploaded files. Select "My Previously Uploaded Files" in the grey bar under the tabs. You can then browse the files you've already uploaded them and attach them to this item.

A third way to attach your work is to attach work created by tools in TaskStream, such as the Lesson Plan Builder. Click on "My TaskStream Work" in the grey bar under the tabs. From here, you can select the work you've done through TaskStream's built in tools.

For example, if you've created a lesson plan on Oak Trees using the Lesson Plan Builder, you can attach this. Select "Lessons" as the category of item and then select the lesson you want to attach. Once you've found what you want to attach, click "Add File."

If the attachment was successful, you will see a screen like the one below. You can attach as many items you've created in TaskStream as you wish.

Close this window when you are done attaching your work. You should then see everything you've attached listed in this item.

If you have attached everything you need for the Daily Lesson Plans, then click Tab #5 - Submission and Evaluation.

Click the grey "Submit" button in the row for the item you have completed. When you do, a window appears where you must select the person to whom you will submit your work. Select you COOPEARTING TEACHER's name from this list and click the "Submit" button. [NOTE: If you do not see your cooperating teacher in this list, contact Dr. Lee Nickles]
Next, a window comes up allowing you to send a final message to all the evaluators (e.g., if there are some special circumstances to your internship you want documented).

Once you have submitted, you should see a screen like the one below.

Repeat this for all the items in the Teacher Work Sample that you need to submit.
