Mentor Training

Refresher Mentor Training - October 5, 2007

Each fall, the School University Teacher Education Partnership (SUTEP) in collaboration with The Center for the Support of Beginning Teachers at Western holds a one-day refresher mentor training session. This program, for those who have already completed the 30-hour program, was developed because of needs expressed by public school systems. SUTEP provides materials, facilitators, snacks and lunch.

Full Mentor Training - September 27, 28 and November 9, 2007

SUTEP offers full mentoring training for those who have never had mentor training. SUTEP provides materials, facilitators, snacks and lunch each day. Western's full mentor training follows the state-approved program which requires 30 hours which includes outside assignments in addition to the 3 days on our compus. To receive credit for mentor training, participants must complete the full 3 days and all outside assignments.
